Tom Hall celebrates the launch of his new book, Free Improvisation: A Practical Guide, on February 7, 2010 in the beautiful Forsyth Chapel at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Tom will be presenting a lecture, Life is One Big Improvisation, followed by an improvised music concert.

In conjunction with the book launch, there will be an art exhibit of improvisational art by Lennie, whose portrait of Tom graces the cover and interior of the book. This unique cultural event is free and open to the public.

The celebration begins at 2:00 p.m. Come meet the Author and Artist, see the art exhibit, and enjoy some refreshments. At 3:00 p.m. Tom Hall will present a lecture, Life is One Big Improvisation, followed by a concert of free improvisational music featuring; Tom Hall, saxophones; Marty Ballou, acoustic bass; Michael Rivard, acoustic bass; Jerry Leake, percussion. Lennie will also join as a guest performer.
